Problem with ping

i dont really know where this goes so i will put it here,
recently i started playing tf2 and was playing alot on your servers
with nothing being changed where i am EX: provider,wifi router,computer
so i have to ask is the server undergoing work?

on five servers that you own, used to i got a ping of 70-110, now i get on those same 5 a ping of 850-999

Thats your Internet connection and might also be having to do with the location of where you are as we have eastern servers as well as western.

I would suggest switching off of WiFi and getting Ethernet :P

Hold up like, i live southeast, and do play on correct servers, but even then i get crap ping

Well nobody else that I know of has this same problem that you do; it's highly likely that your ISP is just a slow provider or that someone else is slowing down your connection with downloads or video streaming.

well that is true, as i live in the country with wind stream, but usually i get good ping...probably just a virus I've installed being naive to to many sketchy programs...but highly doubt it
EDIT: well something's changed as i forgot to mention, that i was getting 90 - 150 ping at first, but then it elevated to 800-999 again, Shit i hate this
