I mean, it wouldn't hurt to try, right? See how it is, and if it works out then keep it.

I'm indifferent, but I would suggest making a poll if you want anonymously collective answers.

Well, if the others comment on it, and agree it should be worth getting. Although I know money can be an issue, it's probably best to get other opinions too.

Our east and west servers are not getting full but they're beginning to get pretty populated. Another set of servers would probably be a fine idea.

How about a server for those that join from Central America? More Central based for North and South Americans.

I can see this being an interesting investment. With more servers perhaps SwapShop can implement Freeze's Towers.

A server down in texas would serve our Central and Southern friends.
I could look into getting a server hosted further south but was hoping to keep it within the US.
If I were to go outside of the US, we have a lot of players from the UK as well as Australia that connect so I would probably look in either of those countries.

Hey.

Yeah, I'm a hypocrite and a douche bag and whatever words you want to say. Sure.

Regardless, knowing me, I wouldn't recommend it. Looks like an empty investment to me. Expanding would be more negative than positive in my eyes. In fact, looking at how many players have been on the servers over the last who knows how long we have only been able to fill up servers about have way on a few servers. Most have 0-5 people. Ideally, if you had less servers, you would funnel all of those 0-5 player servers into the same server, giving numbers like 20-30, and when the numbers are higher, players are more likely to join. Of course, on this flip side, when there are a lot of players, it becomes cramped and spammy which causes people to leave. It is a tough subject. Still, I would not recommend expeanding.

After looking around I found 2 possible options without the need to purchase a server:

Option 1:

    Intel Xeon E3-1230 – 4x 3.20GHz, 8MB Cache (v2 and v3 provided when available)
    16GB DDR3 ECC RAM
Upgrade to 32 GB for just $20 more.
    1TB Enterprise SATA HDD
30TB Monthly Bandwidth (IN+OUT) * Upgrade to 100 TB for just $99 more.
    1000 Mbps Public Network Uplink
    /24 IPv4 Allocation (253 Usable IP addresses)
    DDoS Protected Network
    Ubiquity Motion Management Platform
    100% Uptime SLA
    Choose from 7 Data Centers
    - Priced at $59/month, $0 Setup!

Option 2:
    Dual Intel Xeon E5-2620 – 24x 2.00GHz, 15MB Cache
    32GB DDR3 ECC RAM * Upgrade to 64 GB for $64, 128 GB for $128
    2TB SATA HDD
30TB Monthly Bandwidth (IN+OUT) * Upgrade to 100 TB for just $99 more.
    1000 Mbps Public Network Uplink

I honestly believe Option 1 would be the best for now and then upgrade if needed.

we should do some servers other than trade like that involve 2fort, upward etc.

On the front page it states: "We are an established community for Team Fortress 2 item trading & fun game play."

I don't think a trading community like us would want or need Valve maps, because there is no point. A trading community does not need interruptions from objective-based gameplay. That's why the Trade_Plaza and Cp_Orange servers are great b/c they have no defined objective other than TDM (Team Death Match.)

How about a Dodgeball server?
