It's been a while since I've browse this website, but after some time, I wanted to offer a suggestion when it comes to the !friendly command.
We all know the command was as buggy as those Sonic games people hated, from being able to keep overheal without a medic to the point of being able to !rtd regardless of whether you were non-friendly or !friendly.
Now then, my suggestion as to returning the !friendly command comes from
this plugin I found once when looking around the internet.
Since I know the server has it's own custom commands (not created by plugins, but by the programmer itself), this could become a useful !friendly. Allow me to explain:
The plugin seems to consist of you being able to become a ghost upon death, which appears to be a toggle mode command. If so, the server could be programmed so upon typing !friendly, it will toggle ghost mode on and kill the player as well, so they can become a ghost. Now if not mistaken, if you toggle the ghost option off, you don't die, but will need to respawn/change classes at spawn. This being said, perhaps making it so that typing !friendly again when disabling ghost mode resulted in force respawning would be my personal advisable suggestion, or perhaps an !unfriendly command to counterpart this.
Also, I believe the ghosts aren't transparent, so perhaps it could be done so the friendies's alpha is changed in order to have transparency.
This is just my personal opinion, but if this was do-able, it'd be interesting to see how people would react to this new mode of !friendly.
