A random assortment of ideas

Now a large portion of these ideas were given to me by a friend known as sidro so I just want to give him credits at the start.

Modifications to maps we already got/ Map ideas to add to the server
  • adding a large lip near the exit of spawn to prevent distasteful snipers from camping in spawn
  • a sewer system that goes around the map to provide as an extra exit for people
  • a room/server dedicated to our favorite players. The sniper main
  • a plugin to prevent spawn camping i.e. the server spawns a crap ton of sentries in front of the spawn exit if to many enemy players are around there
  • a room party room that activates disco mode in a area
  • server specific maps for admins to more easily do events in
  • remove goal post/trees in trade plaza


rtd/shop stuff
  • prop hunt where you turn to a random tf2 prop
  • cheapening some shop items
  • *this is if jetpack is still on* have vip get extended fuel in their jetpacks
  • exploding melee

Actual server maps/themed maps
  • parkour maps
  • some slide maps (like every csgo commentator uses)
  • rocket jump maps
  • event specific maps that automatically give prizes (like credits)

all in all these are just some suggestions that I and sidro had obviously not all of these end up well buts its a learning process to see what people like. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you all are having a wonderful night!

These are all reasonable suggestions and would love to see some of them implemented. Here are my responses to each suggestion:

1. You mean like a shutter door?
2. The sewer system idea  reminds me of one of the stock maps (I forgot which map it was) that lets you take an underwater pipe system to get to enemy territory. Pretty cool.
3. So a SnipeZilla map?
4. We would have to hardcore the coordinates of each spawn exit to place sentries in specific places of the map and to detect the position of each player. From a programming point of view this can be resource-heavy and thus cause unnecessary lag for some people.
5. The trade plaza night map by Fusion already removed the goal posts and has a more open area for events. It also has a secret disco room.
6. Some of our maps have custom/themed music already.
7. Which shop items need to be cheaper?
8. Exploding melee would be fun to have.
9. I’m not entirely sure how complicated prop hunt would be to setup, let alone be an RTD roll.
10. We already had surf maps on some servers before and nobody went on them.
11. Parkour and rocket jumping maps would be nice. It would be pretty cool if we could get a Deathrun server going as well.
12. Having maps communicate with plugins are beyond any of the current staff members’ knowledge at the moment.

Honestly, these are all great and fun ideas. I’d love to see if any of these can be implemented and enjoyed by the community.

I was thinking of some ideas for the shop in the server.
1. Add the caber to the all class weapons portion of the shop.
2. Add a casino like system to get credits more easier but make it a risk.
3. I know prophunt might be hard to code but it would be nice to try.
4. VIP needs to be upgraded or add something new to VIP because its kinda getting useless.
This is just something extra but maybe add a sunset trade plaza, that would be great.
Also add more secrets to the trade plaza maps.

For #1, I'll see what I can do. The only issue with that is it will look weird for some classes. It may be positioned wrong to the point that it covers your whole screen if you're a Heavy because of how he holds his fists, etc.

For #2, We're not going to implement a gambling system because our playerbase comprises of kids and we don't want to break any rules set by VALVe. That's why we allow players to win credits for free but with a slightly low chance. It's a fair system so there's no need to risk anything from either side.

For #3, We already have 2 Prop Hunt servers but hardly anyone plays on them. Maybe you can invite some friends to join you there.

For #4, What kind of VIP perks would you suggest?

Adding a sunset trade plaza would feel redundant if you're referring to the same map that we use for servers 06 and 36. There's also no way to add more secret rooms without increasing the file size of the map, which most players may not like since it could take up to a few minutes to download the map. By then, players may already leave to join another server.
