Where's !friendly?

So, I haven't had a real problem since my sourceban. So I'll cut to the chase. What happened to !friendly? I used it when i felt like not fighting. But now, they got rid of it. Is it useless for other people? Because i found it useful.

It was overly exploitable.

Several versions of !friendly were used, doubt it will be returning any time soon.

A lot of the updates that Valve made broke !friendly more and more so it was really just a never-ending cycle of bugs. It was decided that it was better to be removed than kept with all the bugs intact. It's unlikely that it will be implemented back.

!Friendly had many problems.

The most major one being after the GunMettal Update regarding weapon drops. Where the player could pick up weapons and kill other players essentially having Godmode. The first fix was to remove weapon drops completely.

But then if you wanted to inspect someone else's weapon, you'd have to spectate for them, and lose chance on the biggest installment gameplay to TF2 Since new weapons.

For what made the final decision I'm unsure of, but !friendly contained far too many flaws as a pluggin, and cannot be easily fixed throughout its many bugs and conflicts it contained.

Like Hamtaro said there were way to make glitches and exploits that occurred when people would use the command....a big one I saw was people would get into enemy spawns and try to roll for toxic... It just one of the few that were reporter though.

I do miss using the command, but I can see why it was removed, perhaps a replacement could be made involving the bonk affect? .3.

If there is another type of !friendly that does not cause the exploits, I assume they would be considered. But that's only my opinion.

A replacement can be looked into. But it would be hard one to do. Especially if our own coding has to be done.

Coding costs money and time, which both is required from the people who run the show. For now, you're just going to show your friendliness, stay true to it, and hope people accept you.

For now, I don't see anything done about this for a while.

If there was a non-buggy updated version of !friendly, I wouldn't see why not to have it. But remember that it conflicted with weapon drops and rtd, which are things we intend to keep.

From what exploits we have been getting from Friendly Mode. I have a theory that It may not be implemented back in.
