Agreed, but I do believe if anyone is to work on this it should be either me or you peter as we seem to be the ones here with the knowledge of this game
EDIT: also yes I'm prepared to do the necessary tasks to achieve the swapshopclassic servers
but i do appreciate your scare tactics : ^ )

I wouldn't say I have an abundance of knowledge on TF2Classic. But I could find some stuff out. You're right since we'd probably be the only two people working on this project. Not many people here want to work on anything new. If you're prepared for such a position, then you need to act like it and work like it. It's not a scare tactic. It's the straight up reality on what it means to be a leader. I didn't know leadership scared you. Maybe you're not ready right now but that's okay.
Im not scared of being a leader, to be honest what you call reality I call scare tactics, Like i said before and what the medic might say I am prepared to do what ever it takes...

If you're not scared, then, to you, those shouldn't be words of fear but words of encouragement.

Keep in mind that not all suggestions are looked into right away. There have been many suggestions in the past that weren't denied or accepted until a few months later. Bumping the topic won't help it at all. You're just annoying everybody.

TBH I was trying, I know this is a really narrow minded way to think but I see this as the biggest swapshop community boost we could get, We need to do this. If we don't, we might just loose a great community boost and make a great mod go undiscovered....I am extremely open to not bumping the thread but I tend to disagree on waiting when it comes to this... So sorry, not sorry, sorry?

If the actual game (tf2) isn't going to get much traction, then how can a smaller developmental mod of the game do any better? True, we've seen many games in early development be loved by many, and the idea looks good on paper, but the mod doesn't look to be moving very fast from what it seems this discussion has ended up to. I think once we see signs of players switching over more towards the mod of the game, it is possible that we would greatly benefit from this idea. It has potential, however, I see flaws in attempting to migrate over to the mod at this time.

To clarify, I'm not against the idea. I just don't think it would be the right time since the mod doesn't seem to be in full development at this moment, and the player base is low.

I'm in the same boat. If only the player base had a decent population, then it would make sense to act upon the idea. It's a great idea but he probably didn't know about the population. We've also proved that the game's development has been put on hold.

Be the blunt, I feel like this topic shouldn't have been made in the first place since TF2C has been struggling. Nevertheless, it's on our radars now. Cheers to hoping for the mod's success. At least we killed some time with a little hypothetical musing.
