Input lag
« on: December 31, 2017, 04:21:59 PM »
This is starting to piss me off because it's becoming more and more frequent.

About 2 months ago I started to notice that sometimes when I go on TF2, my input would lag. If I were to estimate, I'd say it's a near half-second lag. That's game-breaking, by far... But It's not just with TF2. It's steam as a whole. Any game I play has this on occasion, and I don't know what causes it. And lately it's getting to the point where it happens 90% of the time I log on. Sometimes it just randomly fixes itself and other times it doesn't, I'm in serious need here. I use an ASUS laptop, intel 7th gen, i7 graphics card, NIVDA GEFORCE GTX whatever... i'm not a computer guy <w> But any help would be appreciated. I thank all attempts in advance.

NIVDA GEFORCE GTX

I would like the number of the card so I can attempt to aid in every aspect.

The i7 is your processor and the GTX card is your video card :)

Imo it might have nothing to do with your hardware. Your input lag sounds like you're most likely referring to when you move your mouse, it has a delay. There is a setting in every game, including tf2 to use "Raw Mouse Input". Your actual hardware shouldn't have any affect in theory to your input lag unless you're getting a lack of Frames Per Second (FPS).

What kind of mouse do you use? Brand, type, name, hell if you can find a photo of it if you're not sure. Lol.
