Falsely banned for hacking
« on: February 02, 2019, 04:12:22 AM »
I don't know the server where I was banned from nor the admin that banned me. I recently tried to join one of your servers but I was banned for no reason. I checked the ban forums and the reason was because of aimbot or being a hacking dev. That is a little bit true, because ages ago I used to make cheats for Garry's Mod, but never for Team Fortress 2, and that was well over 2 years ago as well. 10-07-18 03:57 was the date I got banned. My steamID is STEAM_0:0:63644275, in case you need it.

However, the other reason I think I might have been banned is because I used to be a part of a group called 'NSS'. I do remember getting invited to that group by an old friend who was actually a cheater in Team Fortress 2, but at that time I had no idea what that group was about, and also back then I would just accept whatever invites I would get without checking. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say, my grammar is pretty bad.

Hello Phizz!

Just to make it clear, it was put within the bans administrative comments that you were subject to appeal your ban. The issue had been brought forward by a player who had played with you on the server. Claiming you were using cheats of some kind. Players don't get banned without the effect of evidence. But the Administrator who had done their research on you looked into your very open profiles and came across some disturbing stuff they decided to use as evidence.

Evidence Provided:

Granted this evidence all put forward. Your alt you use to "hack" on hasn't been active for over 400+ days at the time of this response post. The programs also listed as you said were originally designed for gmod. Unfortunately the source engine cheats all function very similarly, so it's not hard to alternate/transfer its uses.

Now:
The main issue with this ban. You were not caught with video evidence within a SwapShop server in which you were openly using some form of cheat. It had only gone by the words of a few community members who had some concern with the person they were playing with.

The biggest issue to now combat as well:
Because there is a possibility you are in possession of cheats at your own disposal (Whether you have some for tf2 or not) there is no evident way for you to prove that at all. There is also no way to confirm whether or not you will or could use cheats when in possession of these programs.

Good news:
Because you've taken the time to appeal your ban, it shows you have some form of determination to have this ban lifted which works well in your favor. Our issue will be with how you could prove that you don't/won't use any form of cheats when knowing full well that you're in possession of it.

What's required:
Now, finally we can address what I feel is the best subject for you to go through with this ban appeal. You must first, explain the reasoning for developing the cheats for gmod a little more in-detail. It may or may-not help justify the reasoning in behind it as SwapShop has a no tolerance for cheating. Explain why you wish to come back into the community. Any form of evidence you feel could be necessary in the situation.

Thank you for taking the time to appeal your ban.

Sincerely,
Lunarium

Basically, the reasons that I started to cheat in Garry's Mod were:

1) It's not VAC secured and literally anyone is allowed to cheat using LUA scripts (keep in mind, I said LUA scripts, not C++ scripts. GMod is the only Source game that allows LUA scripts to be executed, which makes creating cheats and running them a lot easier. TF2, CS:GO and other Source games have C++ cheats, as LUA is not a language that those games support, thus making developing and cheating in general harder. There are a few C++ cheats in GMod as well, but you can get game/ VAC banned for using them - this happens only for the very old ones.)

2) I just wanted to mess around, seeing that 90% of the GMod community is made of young children, the rest being other cheaters or furries. Not gonna lie, it was pretty fun for a while, but at one point it became too boring so I quit.

3) I didn't want to cheat in TF2. As much as I wanted to mess around, I wanted to keep my favorite game clean. That alt account that I have was actually used for cheating in GMod as well, because my main was banned from most GMod servers at the time for blatantly cheating on servers with active admins.

I would like to be unbanned because, this might sound a bit corny, but the SwapShop servers were some of my favourite servers, mainly because of the giant amount of players that they get.
Also, I understand why that person reported me. I was hitting headshots that even I couldn't believe at that time, and the fact that they saw that I am a GMod cheater made everything worse.

Something else I want to address is that you should ask for video evidence before banning someone, it is the most important thing in cases like these. Anyone could start dominating a free to play that is bad at the game, and the way bad players think is that the person dominating them is almost always a hacker.

I might have missed some points, I'll make a second reply if that happened.

Congratulations!

I've decided to remove your ban. You've created an appeal and explained your reasons. Your ban should be lifted shortly after the time of this reply. Please confirm that you have been unbanned.

Thank you for your time.
