Title: No Halloween Update This Year?
Post by: mental on October 14, 2016, 04:05:31 AM
Come on Valve, what are you doing in that office of yours. Honestly I wanted more helloween cosmetics, but now they are just going to re-use the old Helloween update and maps.

...but this year we’re working on something even better: an all-new Pyro Pack, improvements to Comp Mode, and a big new update and campaign.

But that doesn’t mean Halloween’s cancelled. Next week, as always, every past Scream Fortress event will rise from the dead to terrorize your computers for a limited, horrifying time, including last year’s Merasmissions. We’ll also be shipping some community Halloween maps, all-new custom contracts for those maps, a new Halloween taunt, a new item that gives unusual effects to taunts, and a new cosmetics case!

Still don't like how the update was rigged in the beginning with the pryo getting all these buffs and the heavy getting nerfed.

Hoping a good rebalance comes out of this.

They're making changes to both Pyro and Heavy. Pyro just gets his first.

I still think Valve should take the advice of Uncle Dane.

Just hand over the TF2 Project to a company WILLING to work on it. They did the same for CS:GO, and look at how successful that game is.

3rd party companies are more than willing to work on a game in which they've given up. Especially how TF2 is still one of its top income products as of today for micro transactions.

If there were to happen, we'd get a community of creators who actually communicate in their development of adding updates and additions.

It would be a significantly good idea.

I would like a rebalance to come out, since Heavy used to be my 2nd most played class.

Yeppers. Agreed. Dane's the main sane wiz of teh direction of teh game. Just about everyone else was probably thinking the same thing as Dane. Only difference between him and the rest of the community is that he had the guts to say it. ;)

I'm sorta glad this is the case for TF2 this year. I've really never been into the Halloween updates. I'm just not a big fan of Halloween to begin with. :P
