so a few months ago i reapplied for admin position but forgot i was muted so i was banned for 6 months from applying so i decided to wait but then i saw an app that was a complete joke app and they only got banned for 3 months and this just seemed fishy to me so if somebody could help inform me on what is going on that would be appreciated

- You cannot have a bad reputation on our servers because of bans, mutes, gags, etc. enacted approximately within the last 6 months (exact duration depends on severity of the initial punishment).
Due to the mute that you had when making the administrator application and the application guideline requirement of none within the last 6 months, you therefore had to wait six months instead of three.

The reason that the applicant (http://tf2swapshop.com/forum/index.php?topic=2680.msg16790#msg16790) was not banned is that we didn't want to jump to a conclusion and simply ban him/her from applying. Instead we took it as a joke. The reason they did not have to wait six months is at the time that they applied him/her met the min requirements that limited reapply time to six months. Should he/she reapply and are missing requirements we will handle it then.

you earn a bad rep (ban/mute/kick/gag, etc.) you gotta wait 6 months until you can apply.
the guy youre comparing yourself to simply made a joke app but he didnt break any rules and didnt have any bad rep prior to applying, therefore, for safety precautions and so that swapshop admins (especially head admins) dont look like assholes, they just treat joke apps as regular apps that arent satisfactory enough to even be reviewed.
TL;DR: quit whining. you can apply in 3 months since you were denied back in april.
