Loss Of Picture
« on: May 04, 2015, 03:02:03 PM »
I somehow lost my picture on the forum. I don't recall removing it, but it is no longer there. Anyone know how to replace it to its former glory?
Thanks.

Yeah, I know. Or at least, soon enough.

I fixed it for you, you had set your avatar in forum preferences to none

Profile Picture Dilemma
« Reply #3 on: July 07, 2015, 08:26:13 PM »
Maybe you shouldn't close posts that could be a problem again in the future. Myself, along a few others are unable to change our profile pictures on the forum. For me, it automatically sets my preference to "no profile picture", even after inputting a URL and saving the changes. Eventually Flying Knife had to upload one for me. Don't know what the problem is, and it isn't affecting me anymore, but it should be fixed.

I know a fix to this, it happened to me a lot, too.

You see, it only allows for a certain amount of characters in the link, if too many are given, it simply sets your avatar to none.

So, what you'll need to do is go to a website like TinyURL and make it shorter.

Example:

Now let's say, for whatever reason, I'd like to make my picture this:

http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/angelaanaconda/images/5/5a/Anime_girl_rage_gif.gif/revision/latest?cb=20150517170108

You can even try it, it won't work! But, now, let's throw it into TinyURL.

Here we are: http://tinyurl.com/pqmo4m6

Much smaller, went from 120 characters to 26 characters. Also, the link never expires.

(For those wondering what the picture was, click here.)

Also, problem solved, moving to solved section/locking topic.

One ought to experience loneliness at least once or twice in life. You have to experience it. The idea of being chained to another person without reprieve is far more abnormal and disquieting. One has no choice but to learn about loneliness. I’m sure some things can’t be experienced without it.
